Norwich, UK – Saxon Air is delighted to announce the launch of its INSPIRE Aviation Career Pathways and Outreach Opportunities for All initiative, ‘INSPIRE Alpha,’ delivered in partnership with Business In The Community (BITC) at West Earlham Infant School. This initiative reflects Saxon Air’s commitment to making the aviation industry accessible and inclusive for individuals of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
The ‘INSPIRE: Alpha’ initiative is designed to break down barriers, spark curiosity, and provide meaningful career pathways into aviation. By engaging with young minds at an early stage, Saxon Air is not only igniting a passion for aviation but also equipping future generations with the skills, confidence, and industry knowledge needed to succeed.

Providing Opportunities Where They Are Needed Most
West Earlham Infant School was specifically chosen for the launch of ‘INSPIRE: Alpha’ as it is recognised as a school serving a highly deprived area. Many of its pupils may not typically have access to industry engagement opportunities like this, and Saxon Air was determined to change that. By bringing the aviation industry directly to these students, the company hopes to demonstrate that no ambition is out of reach, regardless of background. This initiative reinforces Saxon Air’s commitment to removing barriers and creating real, lasting opportunities for young people who may not have previously considered a future in aviation.
Creating a Meaningful Difference:
The INSPIRE: Alpha initiative is already making a tangible difference. The recent visit to West Earlham Infant School saw children engaging with aviation concepts in a hands-on, interactive way—many for the first time. Teachers reported a surge in enthusiasm among students, with many expressing a newfound interest in the aviation industry.
Hannah, HR and Wellbeing Coordinator at Saxon Air, remarked, “The educational opportunities we offer are tailored for various age groups, from four to eighteen, ensuring a structured and flexible approach to career development. Our programmes are accessible to schools, colleges, universities, and individuals, focusing on industry-specific knowledge and transferable skills that are valuable in any career.”
Tracey Drake from BITC reinforced, “Everyone deserves the same opportunity. Through our Place Programme in Norwich, we are uniting businesses, local authorities, and communities to eliminate inequalities and create real opportunities for all. That’s why we launched the Business Encounter Programme – because early intervention matters. By age eight, a child is already shaping their view of the world of work. Meaningful encounters at this stage can ignite ambition, inspire confidence, and open doors to a future full of possibilities.”
Building a More Diverse and Inclusive Aviation Industry
Saxon Air’s mission is clear: to provide individuals with the tools, opportunities, and connections they need to realise their potential and pursue their career aspirations. By setting a precedent for outreach and career development, the company hopes to inspire other industries to adopt similar frameworks, creating a wider network of opportunities for young people and career changers alike.
The impact of the initiative is already evident. Following the school visit, students reported feeling more confident in their understanding of aviation and the skills required, with many eager to explore further opportunities.
