“I use SaxonAir as my charter operator. They are always quick to respond and deliver a high level of service throughout the experience, I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for charter flights”
The cost of chartering a private jet can vary widely based on several factors, including the type of aircraft, distance travelled, flight duration, and additional services. Generally, you might expect:
Light jets: £1,500 to £4,000 per hour
Mid-size jets: £3,000 to £7,000 per hour
Heavy jets: £7,000 to £12,000+ per hour
There are also other fees to consider, such as landing fees, fuel surcharges, and overnight charges for the crew. Overall, a short domestic flight might cost anywhere from £5,000 to £20,000, while international flights can be significantly more expensive. It’s always best to get a quote from a charter service for a specific trip.

Head of Sales and Business Development
I head up the fixed wing sales and business development here at Saxon Air. We have a great team here with varied experience but all with a huge interest in aviation, a passion for working at Saxon Air and delivering excellence. We are responsible for the charter sales of any fixed wing aircraft we operate but also have a very strong brokerage which works side by side. Some requests are better suited to aircraft not in our fleet and we want to deliver the best solution for our clients, we therefore use the brokerage arm of Saxon Air to source these options.
The charter and business development team is made up of 5 people. We have 4 client facing charter brokers of various experience, including myself who are supported by a strong flight care team.
I love working at Saxon Air because of the family ethos of the company, you really get the feeling we are all pulling in the same direction, striving to represent what our founder Roger believed were the important values for an organisation to follow and adhere to. There are no politics here, let’s just get it done and ensure we deliver the best service possible to our clients.
